The "By The People"Amendment simply states:

"Candidates for
public office may only campaign using funds provided by currently registered
voters of The United States of America.
All campaign
funding must be publicly disclosed by the amount and the source at the time of
the receipt of the contribution by the candidate.
All campaign
expenses must be publicly disclosed by the amount and the beneficiary
of the payment at the time of the
expense by the candidate.
Knowledgeable or willful failure to comply will result in removal from office, if elected."

Dear Voter,
Have you had enough of the harmful, regressive, and in some cases deadly political influence of Washington Lobbyists?
Today's politician uses the peoples
vote to get elected, but relyon millions in "special interest" money to
campaign, push their name and smear their opponents. We believe too many special interest corporations,
unions, foreign governments and
other external organizations
now steer and control our politicians. The net effect of this influence peddling
is to completely taint American Politics and skew our system to such an extent
that it no longer responds to the average voter. We need to makes candidates accountable to us!
We are a group of your fellow Americans committed to improving the opportunities for every living person in our country. Organizations don't vote, people do. We believe this "people not influence" demand is something all voters, regardless of party affiliation can agree upon.
Unfortunately, every former attempt
to curtail this influence has met with free speech challenges from those same
special interests. That is why we believe the only way
to get our government back is through an amendment to our
Constitution.
Rather than just accept "business as usual" we have put forth this "By The People" proposal as that "Next Amendment" to the Constitution.
